World off, music on! 80 young musicians, 40 nationalities, one universal language: music. The Mannheim Philharmonic stands for excellence, passion and equal opportunity.
With their passionate enthusiasm and high-quality music making, the Mannheim Philharmonic succeeded in gaining the attention of the worldwide music scene in no time at all. Launched in 2009 by Boian Videnoff, the orchestra's goal is to provide outstanding young musicians with a springboard into their careers. You can enjoy the orchestra's performances in the Rosengarten congress centre, with rousing interpretations of international quality.
Top tip: Just 4 minutes' walk from the Rosengarten heading east is the imposing Christuskirche. This is the youngest and largest of four Protestant churches built around the turn of the century to serve the fast-growing communities on what was then the edge of the city.
