Capitol theatre

From its previous life as a cinema to its current role as an event hall with special flair. The "Eventhaus Capitol" brings its unique charm to everything from theater to concerts and comedy.

The Capitol is located in the Neckarstadt-Ost district and was built in 1927. At the time, it was Germany's largest cinema. Converted from the former cinema to today's event hall, the theatre with its balcony in the New Objectivity style and its egg-shaped inner dome, which echos the round building, exudes the charm and flair of the 1930s. Soak up living cinema and cultural history and celebrate lavish parties under the "blue dome".

Top tip: Enjoy regional cuisine with a Mediterranean influence or a drink from the selected menu in the "Platzhaus" on the "Alte Messplatz", between the Alte Feuerwache and Capitol Mannheim.
